This last weekend was winter solstice (summer solstice for those in the southern hemisphere of course!) and around here that means early early evenings, pots of tea and hours of sewing. It seems we are not the only ones who feel that way, since we are getting lots of pictures of great finished Thread Theory projects sent to us! Let’s start with the lighter wear and move up to outer wear, just like layering on a chilly day 🙂
This is by Nat at Sew Outnumbered– I really like the contrast binding, and look at this great pocket:
Next, a gorgeous Finlayson by Carly In Stitches:
The fabric seems to have a really great drape and looks cozy at the same time!
Ann Kin was the winner of our Finlayson sew along contest, and she applied the same attention to detail and wonderful taste in this Newcastle:
And now we’ve reached the final layer of warmth and coziness with a couple of new Goldstream Peacoats, the first made by Lena:
When I saw the piped lining and the button up welt pockets, my jaw may have dropped just a little. Fantastic job Lena!
One more peacoat for your viewing pleasure, this one made by Batman et Bobines:
She has lots of great photos on her blog as well of the details- the lining she chose looks chic and warm.
Well, that great selection of inspiration, I’ll sign off. Merry Christmas!
